Mini Musings

What if heartbreak had a sound?

The world would be a noisy place.

Funny world

You know what’s funny?

Even as you lay breathing your last, people would question you – why aren’t you responding to my messages? Why don’t you pick up calls?

Remember :

Those who swear that they cannot imagine a life without you will after a year be telling you how having you in their life is the source of their unhappiness.

That’s how everyone is,  without exception.  Nothing you can do about it except choosing to be with someone who wants you to be part of their journey,  no matter the hardships. Someone who would rather have you when they are low than to distance themselves by calling you the reason of their pain.

We are all macerating in a pool of our lost memories and unfinished desires,  slowly wilting away,  one breath at a time.

Soon,  we will be nothing but a mush of our own thoughts, unrequited or unfinished.

Are you dead?

You aren’t dead when you stop breathing..

It’s when you no longer have a home in someone’s heart.

Do you think there’s someone, anyone, who keeps you safe within their heart and think of you and pray for you in their every living moment?

If yes, then, my friend, you are ALIVE !

Mini fables

She waited for his phone all day long..

He waited outside her door all day long..

They both went back home, heartbroken..

A beautiful start may not have a beautiful end..

Happy Friendship’s Day

You and I are friends, connected through words and a world unhitched by the mortal laws, in the most extraordinary way.. we haven’t met but know each other through this magical medium and that’s sufficient to call it a friendship..
Happy Friendships Day friend !

Cheers !

Going in circles

From an eternal optimist to a cynic, I have been grappling with accepting those age old epiphanies, such as “Everything happens for the best”, “The best is yet to come”.

Tell me if that’s true and who gets to judge if this time is really better than the one before and if it will get better? How will it be better because our priorities keep changing along with our perceptions. So what’s important and essential today may hold no significance tomorrow. What I yearn for today, I may not even realize its presence tomorrow provided I get/achieve it. By then I might have moved on to yearn for something else in a never ending cycle.

So who and how does one decide what’s “best”?

Isn’t it simply a state of mind? So I condition myself into believing that this time, right now, is the best and that I should make the most of it because the future is yet to be seen and experienced.
Aah… Another epiphany..
